About Us

                         BJ

I was born and raised in Hillsboro, Wisconsin. I've been around horses my whole life, starting with when I went on the Wagon Train when I was 1 month old. I started breaking colts with my dad when I was about 10 years old. When I was in High School Rodeo I won the Wisconsin All-Around Cowboy all four years. I rode lots of rope/barrel horses with my dad up until I started riding bulls professionally.  I accomplished my life long goal in the year 2006 by winning the World in the PRCA and the average at the NFR.  I currently work for a yearling ranch operation and break colts for people along with training some of our own.

I was also born and raised in Hillsboro, Wisconsin. I started riding horses when I was about 4 years old and got my first pony when I was 5. I grew up riding english and western. I showed hunter jumpers until college, where I competed on the River-Falls, Wi show team and was a part of the rodeo team. I worked for a reiner for 3 years and participated in the colts in training program at River-Falls. I started to run barrels again in college after I purchased a rope/barrel horse. After being at River-Falls for 3 years i transferred down to Murray State in Tishomingo, Ok where I graduated to be a veterinary technician. Now I am a wife and a mother and I love my little family very much. I would like to say a quick thanks to some very  special people who had a huge impact on my life involving horses. First, my mother (Bridget Liska) who got me into horses and took me all over the state to horse shows and lessons. I wouldn't be the rider I am today if it wasn't for the time she spent with me as well as my wonderful father. I also want to thank Jody and Jori Rafel of Double J Ranch and Matt Davison of Davison's Duns for allowing me all the experience I could handle. Along with that I would like to thank Larry Kasten of Kasten Reining Horses for spending so much time teaching me horsemanship and taking me under his wing. Nathan O'connor, my instructor at River Falls for being a great teacher and Kevin and Cynthia Tyvoll of Oakhill Ranch for helping me get in to roping.
